Patrick Tan 医生是新加坡伊丽莎白医院的血液科医生。
他治疗与血液有关的疾病，并在骨髓移植和移植免疫学（即细胞、组织或器官移植）方面具有亚专业化水平。移植免疫学的类型包括同胞异体移植、非亲缘异体移植、自体移植（使用自体干细胞移植）和脐带血移植。
Tan医生是脐带血和干细胞移植领域的先驱。他成功实施了世界上首例非亲缘干细胞移植和非亲缘脐带血移植，用于治疗地中海贫血这种罕见的遗传性血液病。
1988 年，Tan医生作为特别研究员被派往美国西雅图弗雷德-哈钦森癌症研究中心 (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre)，开展骨髓移植和移植免疫学后的亚专业工作。1991 年，他应邀回国。
Tan医生曾于 1993 年担任新加坡中央医院（SGH）血液科头部主任。1995 年，他担任新加坡医学院 (Academy of Medicine) 血液科分会主席。1997 年，Tan 医生被约诊担任卫生科学局 (Health Science Authority) 国家血液中心 (National Blood Centre) 主任。
2004 年，他成为伊丽莎白医院血液学和干细胞移植中心 (Haematology and Stem Cell Transplant Centre) 的医学主任。同年，Tan 医生被任命为新加坡脐带血库（Singapore Cord Blood Bank）的首任医务主任。
除了临床工作，Tan医生还被任命为新加坡国立大学杨潞龄医学院的临床副教授。
