Yeo 医生于 1998 年获得新西兰奥塔哥大学 (University of Otago) 医学学位，并在新西兰奥克兰市立医院 (Auckland City Hospital) 和北岸医院 (North Shore Hospital) 接受基本医疗培训。随后，他在新加坡陈笃生医院接受了胃肠病学（胃和肠道）和肝病学（肝脏）的高级培训，并担任该院的顾问。
Yeo 医生被新加坡医学院（Academy of Medicine）和英国爱丁堡皇家内科医师学会（Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh）授予奖学金。他还获得了卫生部卫生人力发展计划（HMDP）奖学金，前往美国耶鲁大学纽黑文医院 (Yale New Haven Hospital) 进修。
为了提高公众对消化疾病和肝病的认识，Yeo 医生在2011年担任了第23届国家消化疾病基金会（National Foundation for Digestive Diseases）公共研讨会组委会主席。他曾在新加坡国立大学杨潞龄医学院担任高级临床讲师。他目前是《Oman Medical Journal》的审稿人。
