Dr Grace Chan is a rheumatologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
Her specialty interests include autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis, food allergy, allergic rhinitis and immunotherapy, drug allergy and desensitisation, and immunodeficiency.
Before joining private practice, Dr Chan was a senior consultant in the department of rheumatology, allergy and clinical immunology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). While there, she led the allergy and clinical immunology service and served as TTSH’s programme director for training in allergy and clinical immunology.
She graduated from the University Malaysia Sarawak and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. She then completed her specialist training in rheumatology, allergy and clinical immunology at TTSH. She is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK and the American College of Rheumatology. She was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan award to pursue specialised training in drug desensitisation, specifically on chemotherapy and biologics, at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA.
Besides her clinical work, Dr Chan was a clinical senior lecturer at the National University of Singapore’s School of Medicine and a clinical teacher at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
She holds several leadership positions including vice-president of the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society (Singapore) and council member of the Lupus Association of Singapore.
