Dr Elaine Chee is an ophthalmologist practising at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
She specialises in cataract surgeries, eyelid surgeries, tear drainage surgeries, orbital surgeries, the management of diabetic eye diseases, as well as glaucoma treatment, myopia treatment in children, and aesthetic procedures around the eyes.
She is currently a visiting consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre.
She was previously a consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre, and a clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
At the Singapore National Eye Centre, Dr Chee was part of the oculoplastic department, and was the previous Joint Commission International (JCI) chairman, in charge of ensuring patient safety and standard protocols in the centre.
Upon completion of her first oculoplastic fellowship in the Singapore National Eye Centre, she further honed her skills by undergoing additional advanced oculoplastic training under Professor Kim Yoon Duck of Samsung Medical Hospital and Dr Jang Jae Woo in Kim’s Eye Hospital.
She was actively involved in research, and authored several articles published in peer-reviewed journals. She has also been invited to international conferences in ophthalmology and aesthetics to deliver lectures and teach in related teaching courses in oculoplastics.
