Dr Chin Yung Ka is a gastroenterologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
His subspecialties are diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, and advanced endoscopic imaging.
He treats a variety of conditions including acute and chronic pancreatitis, irritable bowel syndrome, liver cirrhosis, pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancer, pancreatic cysts and nodules, reflux/gastroesophageal reflux, subepithelial/submucosal lesions, and viral hepatitis.
He was a senior consultant in the department of gastroenterology and hepatology at Singapore General Hospital.
Dr Chin graduated from the University of Aberdeen, UK, and completed his advanced endoscopy fellowship in Spain. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 years and has performed more than 1,600 endoscopic ultrasound procedures since 2016.
Besides his clinical work, he is a clinical assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and clinical teacher at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
Dr Chin is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Singapore and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
He has been invited to deliver lectures and been a demonstrator and faculty at endoscopic ultrasound workshops held locally and regionally.
He is a recipient of the Service with the Heart Award.
