Dr Terence Goh is a plastic surgeon practising at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
He specialises in aesthetic and reconstructive microsurgery, with a focus on surgery of the Asian face, particularly Asian eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty. He also has interests in mummy makeovers, breast augmentation, body contouring and liposuction.
He is one of the few surgeons to combine the intricate skills of microsurgery with aesthetic surgery.
His practice centres on the principles of providing his patients with procedures specially tailored to the individual, to deliver improved but naturally beautiful results that enhance and complement the individual’s features.
Dr Goh is the current president of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons, and the vice-chairman of the Chapter of Plastic Surgeons, Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
He also maintains his practice in reconstructive microsurgery, focusing on breast reconstruction, complex head and neck reconstruction, lower limb salvage and lymphatic reconstructive surgery.
Through his keen aesthetic eye and artistic and technical expertise, he was selected into the department of plastic surgery at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he completed his advanced surgical training in plastic surgery and continues to serve as a visiting consultant.
To further develop his own specially curated technique, Dr Goh has also completed numerous observerships with renowned plastic surgeons in the US, Europe, Australia and Asia.
Dr Goh was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme by the Ministry of Health (MOH), and went on to do his fellowship at the prestigious Asan Medical Centre in Seoul, South Korea. It was during his stint here where he had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the top cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons in Korea, where he continues to work closely with them, returning annually to give talks at their international conferences.
As a consultant plastic surgeon in the department of plastic surgery at SGH, Dr Goh also served as core faculty in the plastic surgery residency programme, and holds the appointment of adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School.
Dr Goh has published more than 30 articles in international plastic surgery journals, and also contributed to several textbooks in plastic surgery. He has also spoken at numerous regional and international conferences in the US, Europe and Asia.
Regardless of whether a patient is recovering from an illness or accident, or simply wants a boost to help them feel better about their bodies, knowing he is helping to improve the quality of their lives is what drives Dr Goh’s passion. He utilises holistic approaches to provide his patients with the best care that is individually tailored, to achieve naturally beautiful results with minimal downtime.
A keen believer in giving back, Dr Goh volunteers his time with Operation Smile where he does cleft lip and palate surgeries, and conducts regular mission trips to the Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
