Dr Alvin Hong received his medical training in the United Kingdom. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh for General Surgery in 1989, and for Neurosurgery in 1994.
Dr. Hong looks after and operates on problems affecting the brain, spine and nerves. He performs stereotactic craniotomies, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, endoscopic pituitary surgery, thoracoscopic sympathectomies for sweaty palms, as well as microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm. He has sub-speciality interests in surgery of the skull base, pituitary surgery and spine surgery.
