Dr Kevin Koo is an orthopaedic surgeon practising in Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
He has a special interest in foot and ankle surgery, joint replacements, sports surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
He completed his medical training in the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2003 and was later appointed as a member and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. In 2013, he obtained his master’s degree in orthopaedic surgery from NUS and then his fellowship from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Dr Koo did a one-year fellowship under the Health Manpower Development Plan Award at St. Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals, Imperial College Healthcare in London, UK. Together with other recognised orthopaedic surgeons, he participated actively in the management of professional athletes and dancers.
He is an adjunct assistant professor for NUS’ Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School.
Dr Koo has presented at international, regional, and local conferences including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand Annual Scientic Meetings. He has also published more than 40 papers in various peer-reviewed medical journals, and is actively involved in the training of junior doctors.
