Dr Liang Te Shan is an orthopaedic surgeon practising at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He specialises in adult reconstruction, joint replacement and musculoskeletal tumour surgery.
Dr Liang was the orthopaedic surgeon involved in a medical relief mission to Sri Lanka following the aftermath of the tsunami in December 2004, and to Solo/Yogyakarta in 2006 after the earthquake.
Dr Liang graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1982. He worked in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Singapore General Hospital till 1995.
Dr Liang was awarded a Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to pursue his Fellowship training in musculoskeletal oncology and adult reconstruction at the University of Florida, USA. He was also attached to the University of Maryland for training in correction of limb deformities and limb lengthening.
