Dr Hazel Anne Lin is an ophthalmologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
She specialises in neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery. She is proficient in the management of complex cataracts, femtosecond laser-assisted surgery and the use of premium intraocular lenses. Dr Lin manages general ophthalmic conditions in adults and children, including refractive errors, dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and floaters. She is experienced in performing ophthalmic lasers, intravitreal injections and botox for facial spasms.
Prior to joining private practice, Dr Lin was a senior consultant in the department of ophthalmology at the National University Hospital (NUH) and a former deputy head of department. She continues to serve as visiting senior consultant at NUH.
Dr Lin graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and underwent specialty training in ophthalmology at NUH and obtained her master’s at NUS. Upon completion of her specialist training in ophthalmology, she embarked on subspecialty training in neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery.
At NUH, she also concurrently served as core faculty of the residency programme. She held other past appointments including director of clinical services and member of the operating theatre committee at NUH. She also worked closely with neurologists and neurosurgeons, managing eye conditions related to brain disorders such as tumours, strokes, inflammation and genetic conditions in children and adults.
Dr Lin holds appointments of assistant professor in ophthalmology at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and clinical tutor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
She is a recipient of the Eye and Vision Health Award.
