Dr Lingaraj Krishna is an orthopaedic surgeon at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
He subspecialises in the field of knee and hip surgery, as well as orthopaedic sports medicine.
He has practised medicine for more than 20 years and manages a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. He also has special interests in sports-related knee surgery, knee ligament reconstruction surgery, hip and knee joint replacement surgery, as well as revision joint surgery.
He is currently a senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery Partners – a private practice at Gleneagles Hospital. He also serves as a visiting consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the National University Hospital (NUH).
Dr Lingaraj was previously the head of the Division of Sports Medicine and Surgery at NUH from 2014 – 2020. He was also the founding director of the NUH Sports Centre from 2016 – 2020.
Dr Lingaraj served on the Executive Board of Sport Singapore, the national governing body for sport in Singapore from 2016 – 2020. He currently serves on the Civil Aviation Medical Board and represents Singapore on the boards of the ASEAN Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy (ASSA), the Asia-Pacific Knee Society (APKS), and the Asian Knee Arthroscopy Think-Tank (AKAT). He also serves in the membership committee of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).
He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles and has been involved in more than 70 conference presentations.
Dr Lingaraj is also a sports enthusiast and a former competitive squash player.
