Dr Low Mei-Yi is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
Her specialty interests are children’s ear and hearing conditions, nose, throat and upper airway breathing conditions, snoring and sleep disorders.
She treats a number of conditions including acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis and adenoiditis, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, cervical lymph node disorders, croup, outer and middle ear infections, ear wax concerns, foreign body removal from ears, nose or throat, hearing loss, laryngomalacia, laryngopharyngeal reflux, nasal polyps, nasopharyngeal cancer, voice disorders, salivary gland disorders, thyroid disorders, swallowing difficulties and snoring (tonsil and adenoid surgery and inferior turbinate surgery).
Dr Low was a former senior consultant and head of the department of paediatric otolaryngology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
She graduated from the National University of Singapore and completed her otolaryngology specialist training in Singapore. She then pursued a clinical fellowship in paediatric otolaryngology at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Australia. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK and a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She has been practising medicine for more than 20 years.
Besides her clinical work, she was a core faculty for the SingHealth otolaryngology residency programme (paediatric module). She is also an examiner for the ENT specialist exit examinations.
Dr Low was an executive committee member of the Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
She has received several awards including the Singapore Health Quality Service Award and the COVID-19 Resilience Medal.
