Dr Marco graduated from the School of Medicine of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 1978 and achieved professional recognition and certification in Plastic Surgery since 1984. He obtained his Certificate of Medical Registration from the Singapore Medical Council in October 2000 under Conditional Registration and in April 2002, the Certificate of Specialist Registration in Plastic Surgery. In March 2002, he obtained the Certificate of Specialist Accreditation from the Ministry of Health, Singapore. In 2005, Dr. Marco obtains his full registration with Singapore Medical Council.

Dr Marco is currently practising his specialty in Parkway East Hospital. He has won several International Awards for his pioneering work in Endoscopy Abdominoplasty & Breast Surgery. He is frequently invited for demonstration and transferring knowledge on his special surgical techniques. Dr Marco has published many journals and book chapters relating to the field of plastic & cosmetic surgery.

As a worldwide pioneer in endoscopic plastic surgery, he was invited to Singapore in 1996 to share his knowledge, conduct workshops and perform surgical demonstrations. In 2000 he was invited by the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgery again to present his techniques of refinements in liposculpture and endoscopic plastic surgery.
