Dr Mok Zhun Rui is a dermatologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
He has interests in eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, immunodermatology, dermatosurgery and cosmetic dermatology.
He is a former consultant in the division of dermatology at the National University Hospital (NUH) and Alexandra Hospital, as well as a consultant at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. He is currently a visiting consultant dermatologist at the National Skin Centre (NSC).
Dr Mok graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his specialist training under the national dermatology training programme, working at both NSC and NUH. He was awarded a Learning and Development Scholarship by NUH for fellowship training in Mohs micrographic and advanced dermatosurgery at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, UK. He pursued a secondary attachment with the immunodermatology service. While in London, Dr Mok worked with dermatologists in their fields of skin cancer and immunodermatology.
While at NUH, he headed the Mohs micrographic surgery unit. Besides his clinical work, he was also the co-investigator for multiple trials studying the efficacy of systemic medications for eczema.
Dr Mok held concurrent appointments as the site director and associate programme director and core faculty for the national dermatology senior residency programme, and assistant professor at NUS.
He has published and presented multiple papers on dermatology in scientific journals and conferences. He has also been invited to be a guest reviewer at multiple peer-reviewed dermatology journals, and a guest speaker at medical and patient forums.
Dr Mok is currently a member of the Dermatology Society of Singapore, member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK and fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (AMS). He was also a member of the taskforce on aesthetic medical practice, AMS.
He was awarded the 10-year Long Service Award.
