Dr James Ng is an ophthalmologist practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore.
He subspecialises in treating medical retina diseases and in performing retinal surgery such as retinal detachment repair, macula hole and epiretinal membrane surgery, and vitrectomy for diabetes.
Dr Ng is experienced in treating diseases such as age-related degeneration, retinal artery/vein occlusions, and diabetic retinopathy. He also specialises in the diagnosis and management of uveitis (ocular inflammatory disease) which includes diagnostic vitrectomy biopsies and immunosuppression treatment (includes biologics).
He obtained his medical qualifications at the University of London in the United Kingdom. He completed his specialty training in ophthalmology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore, and later obtained his subspecialty fellowship after 3 years of training in the UK.
