Dr Pang Yu Zhi is a neurologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
Besides general neurology, he has special interests in stroke, headache management and neurophysiology. He treats conditions such as trigeminal neuralgia (facial pain), migraine, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.
He was a former consultant in the department of neurology at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI).
Dr Pang graduated from the National University of Malaysia, completed his master’s from the National University of Singapore and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. He then began his neurology training at NNI. While at NNI, Dr Pang provided care at various hospitals including Singapore General Hospital, Changi General Hospital (CGH) and Sengkang General Hospital. He was also actively involved in the hyperacute stroke service, assessing patients for stroke reperfusion therapy. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 years.
Besides his clinical work, he mentors junior doctors and medical students. His academic contributions include publishing several neurology articles and serving as a principal investigator in research studies.
Dr Pang is a recipient of the CGH Care Award and the NNI Quality Service awards.
