Dr Queck Kian Kheng is a neurologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
He treats various conditions including headache, stroke, neurophysiology such as numbness, weakness, nerve conduction and electromyography studies, epilepsy, neuroimmunology, and neurodegenerative disease such as dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
Prior to joining private practice, Dr Queck was a consultant neurologist at the National Neuroscience Centre at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Sengkang General Hospital (SKH).
He graduated from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He then completed his training with SingHealth and attained his membership with the Royal College of Physicians, UK. Whilst at SGH, Dr Queck was involved in hyperacute stroke treatment, which included intravenous thrombolysis and endovascular therapy. He was also involved in service development and improvement, serving on the SGH and SKH stroke electronic clinical pathway and SGH Intensive Care Unit committees. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 years.
He has published on cultural issues impacting stroke assessment tools. He was also the principal investigator on a study on cardiac shunting in young stroke patients.
Dr Queck has won several awards including several Singapore Health Quality Service awards.
