Dr Andy Tan Wei Keat is an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
His expertise is in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, with a subspecialty in endometriosis and pelvic pain.
Prior to joining private practice, Dr Tan was a consultant in the department of obstetrics and gynaecology at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he led the endometriosis and pelvic pain clinic service. He is currently a visiting consultant there, and teaches surgical techniques and complex surgeries to future obstetrics and gynaecology residents.
He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Dublin and obtained his master’s at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He received the Health Manpower Development Plan award and did a 1-year fellowship at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark. With more than 15 years’ practising medicine, Dr Tan has performed more than 1000 minimally invasive surgeries, including robotic gynaecology procedures.
In addition to his clinical work, he was a clinical assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and a clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He was also a core physician faculty member for the obstetrics and gynaecology residency programme.
Dr Tan is a council member of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society Singapore. He is also a member of the Medical Accreditation Board at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore, the Singapore Medical Association, the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in the UK, and the Robotic Surgery Society of Singapore.
He is a recipient of the Service with a Heart award.
