Dr Tay Guan Tzu is an orthopaedic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.
His subspecialty interests are in paediatric orthopaedics, adult and paediatric foot and ankle surgery, as well as deformity correction of the lower limb.
In 2012, Dr Tay received the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award for subspecialty training in the field of foot and ankle surgery in Geneva, Switzerland.
Upon his return to Singapore, he started the foot and ankle service at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) in 2013.
Dr Tay served at the paediatric orthopaedics department at KKH until end 2016.
He joined the foot and service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)’s orthopaedics surgery department from 2016 – 2020.
He is a keen contributor to the field of teaching and was one of the education year-leads for the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. As an adjunct assistant professor, he was a regular examiner in their end-of-posting as well as the final MBBS exams.
He was also a clinical lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and served as an adjunct assistant professor to the Duke-NUS School of Medicine.
Dr Tay is an active member and contributor to the community of orthopaedics, and serves as a visiting consultant to TTSH, KKH, and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
