Dr Jonathan Teo is a urologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
His subspecialties include andrology, subfertility, minimally invasive treatments of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), penile prosthesis surgeries, correction of penile deformities, varicocelectomy and microscopic testicular sperm extractions.
He was formerly a consultant urologist and director of andrology at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He is currently a visiting consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Dr Teo graduated from the National University of Singapore. He completed his specialist urology training under the SingHealth urology residency programme and did his subspecialty training in andrology in South Korea, UK and USA. He was one of the urologists who was instrumental in setting up the urology department at Sengkang General Hospital.
During his time at SGH, he served on the SGH pharmacy and therapeutics committee and medical device committee, and was involved in evaluating cost-effective drugs and medical devices/implants for use in the hospital. He was also a member of the medical device committee for the Ministry of Health.
Dr Teo has published many academic articles on BPH treatment and andrology.
He was a clinical lecturer at NUS’ Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, assistant adjunct professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, and clinical tutor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He was a faculty member of the SingHealth urology residency programme and was involved in teaching and training urology residents.
