Dr Toon Dong Hao is an orthopaedic surgeon at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
He specialises in sports and arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, elbow and knee, including rotator cuff surgeries, shoulder stabilisation procedures, elbow ligament repair/reconstruction and arthroscopic procedures, knee tendon and/or ligament repair/reconstruction procedures, knee meniscus repair, knee preservation cartilage surgeries and realignment osteotomies.
He also has experience in treating complex upper limb trauma, including shoulder and elbow peri-articular fractures, shoulder and elbow joint reconstruction and joint replacement surgeries.
Dr Toon is currently a visiting consultant in sports surgery and upper limb surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH).
He graduated from the University of Leeds, UK and did his master’s degree at the National University of Singapore. He is a member and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. He completed his fellowship in Sydney, Australia for advanced upper limb surgery. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 years.
Dr Toon previously served as a clinical core faculty member of the National Healthcare Group’s orthopaedic surgery residency programme and an associate programme director for post-graduate year 1 at KTPH.
