Dr Tu Tian Ming is a neurologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
His subspecialties are stroke and general neurology.
He was a former senior consultant in the department of neurology at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI). He was also a visiting consultant at Changi General Hospital (CGH).
Dr Tu graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and obtained his membership of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. He subsequently completed his neurology advanced specialist training at NNI. Additionally, he completed a master’s degree in clinical investigation at NUS as well as an overseas research fellowship supported by the National Medical Research Council of Singapore at Duke University, USA. He is currently a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, UK.
At CGH, he co-chaired the stroke services and later headed the neurology service. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 years.
His clinical and research interests are in acute ischaemic stroke and neurocritical care. He has also published more than 40 peer-reviewed academic journal articles.
Besides his clinical work, he is a clinical tutor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Dr Tu is a member of several organisations including the American Academy of Neurology, the Stroke Council, the American Heart Association, and the Singapore Medical Association.
He has received several awards including the NNI Quality Service Award (Star).
