Dr Wang Lushun is an orthopaedic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
His specialty is in advanced minimally invasive techniques for enhanced recovery in hip and knee surgeries such as robotic knee replacement surgery, sports/arthroscopic surgery, and hip replacement surgery (direct superior and direct anterior approaches).
He is a former senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon and former head of the hip and knee service at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH). He is currently a visiting consultant at NTFGH.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. He undertook the prestigious Sir John Charnley hip and knee arthroplasty and sports soft tissue reconstruction fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, UK. He also completed the lower limb sport soft tissue reconstruction and arthroplasty fellowship at the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence Lyon Croix-Rousse University Hospital, France. He has been practising medicine for more than 18 years.
Dr Wang was an adjunct assistant professor at NUS and is a member of the national residency advisory committee for orthopaedics. He also acts as an examiner and is a member of the Master of Medicine (Orthopaedics) committee in NUS and a core faculty member of the National University Health System’s orthopaedic residency programme. He was also appointed the orthopaedics FRCS exam convenor.
He is a recipient of several service quality awards, including being recognised for the hip and knee division’s superior outcomes project (value-driven) for total knee replacements by the Ministry of Health at the Value Based Healthcare Conference 2022.
