Dr Petrina Wong is a paediatrician at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
Her main interests are in childhood respiratory illnesses and sleep conditions.
In addition to treating general paediatric conditions, Dr Wong also provides paediatric respiratory services like the evaluation and treatment of lung infections, wheezing and asthma, as well as paediatric sleep services like the assessment and management of snoring, sleep apnoea, parasomnias and behavioural sleep disorders.
She has been trained in various paediatric specialities for more than 15 years.
She completed her subspecialty training in 2013 in paediatric sleep medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the US.
She received the European Diploma (pHERMES) by the European Respiratory Society, and was also certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a polysomnologist in clinical sleep health.
She completed her postgraduate training and gained her experience at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) in the departments of paediatric medicine, paediatric subspecialties, paediatric intensive care, children’s emergency and neonatology.
Prior to private practice, Dr Wong was a consultant at KKH, and was the KKH service chief in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Sleep Centre.
She is currently a visiting consultant to KKH, and helms the multidisciplinary neuromuscular clinic there.
She has been an active faculty member in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Duke-NUS Medical School, and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
