Dr Yeo Chong Meng is a gastroenterologist practising in Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. He specialises in treating gastrointestinal disorders and liver diseases.
Dr Yeo received his medical degree from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1998 and his basic medical training at Auckland City Hospital and North Shore Hospital in New Zealand. He then received advanced training in gastroenterology (stomach and intestines) and hepatology (liver) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore, where he was a consultant.
Dr Yeo was conferred fellowships by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and by the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK. He was also awarded the Ministry of Health Healthcare Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship for further training at Yale New Haven Hospital, USA.
With an interest to raise public awareness about digestive and liver diseases, Dr Yeo chaired the organising committee of the 23rd National Foundation for Digestive Diseases public symposium in 2011. He was previously also a senior clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He is currently a reviewer for the Oman Medical Journal.
